Q: Why a superimposed digital page is created?
Make sure to press the [New] button on the front panel every time when you turn a paper sheet on the notepad to start a new digital page, and make sure that the [Page] icon on the LCD display shows an empty page /. Note: You can repair superimposed pages with the Untangle function (see user manual v 1.03--section 4.7). Q: Why D-Note cannot power on? 1. The batteries in the D-Note are not properly installed. 2. The batteries in the D-Note may have run out of power during a note taking session. Please replace the batteries (see section 3. D-Note is connecting to computer which means that the D-Note has been changed to the Tablet function. It won't work for note-taking in this mode. Q: Why my D-Note is not working properly? 1. It could run out of power as previous question. Please replace the batteries in your DSL401 or DNA500 as instructions. 2. 3. 4. You may have put the paper notepad thicker than the maximum thickness. This will be caused the digital pen tip to move outside of the reading height range of the D-Note. Please check if the pen icon on the LCD display is either white 5. 6. You may set the auto-suspend timer too short. (See section Q: Can I use more than one pen in the same time? No. Please do not use more than one pen at the same time, or place one pen on the notepad while writing with another one. Q: Why the Page counter has not yet reached 199, but the memory is full? Although the D-Note theoretically has the ability to manage up to 99 workbooks of 199 digital pages each, such ability is limited to the maximum storage capacity of the built-in flash memory. In practically, the D-Note has a storage capacity of 32MB, but stored pages limited and depend on the writing style of different individual user, most of time DNA500 can store up to about 150 digital pages, and DLA401 can save about 75 pages. Therefore, you may store pages into a computer storage, and then format D-Note to clear memory space in order to write more new pages.

Q: I have about 50 gigs of MP3 audio files on a portable hard drive; I would like to play these through my home theater system. Will your BM3030 support such an application?
Yes, you can. Plug HDD into USB port of BM3030 if you use portable USB HDD. Then select and connect audio output (in BM3030) to your home theater by either Coaxial or Fiber cable.
Q: Can I connect it to my HD TV and be able to browse through my music collection, create playlists or play at random? Through HDMI cable, video output connect to your HDTV, you may browse your music list on HDTV and enjoy your collection from your home theater. BM3030 can allow you to create playlists or browse and play at random. Q: Can you record from cable TV while watching a diffrent program or media format? No. The BM3030 only can do one task a time. It doesn't equipped a TV tuner inside. BM3030 will record the program you are watching. You will need another device that equipped a TV tuner to be dedicated for BM3030.
Q: I noticed it has HDMI output, But what is the input source type from a cable box to this unit?
The HDMI output provide you to watch a high definition video. The recoding end (input) use component cable which will record video at 640 x 480 as normal TV or DVD do.
Q: What is the largest SATA disk capacity that this enclosurs accepts.

Q: I just received my unit, unpacked, installed a new unformatted 500GB HDD, and then connected to my Standard NTSC TV with the RCA TV connectors. When I turn on the unit it does not sync with the TV (display is in B&W and will not sync lock). I installed the batteries in the remote and pressed the TV SYSTEM button to change TV modes (for NTSC Interlaced, progressive, PAL Interlaced, progressive) but the unit still does not respond ?
(1) You need to format the HDD first, either by your PC or BM3030 ( press the "setup" button in the remote, select HDD format in the Setup manual, please refer to page 26~29 in the manual for more detail ). (2)BM3030 is a digital device and it needs a little bit time to response (maybe one second), please don't switch and press the buttons to fast.
(3)Power on/off need about 15 seconds. You will need to wait about 15 seconds to start have your remote to work with BM3030 after switching power on. Q: I am looking, something record programs from my HDTV cable box (like Roger-Scientific Atlanta 4250HD), how can I do it? Connect analog Component HDTV output (YPbPr/V) in your Roger-Sciencetific Atlanta 4250HD (or other models in the family) to the AV-IN in BM3030 by using the included cable (3 color R/G/B connectors to one black connector). Note: You may use HDMI(cable) to connect the HD set top box to your HDTV.
